The Department of History organizes three events per year where we provide information about our study programmes for prospective or new students. At the beginning of September, UZH organizes info days for prospective students. Each semester, there is a student orientation for new students. And at the end of March, the MasterDays take place.
At an information booth prospective students can gain insight into studying history, listen to lectures and talk to students and employees of the Department of History.
New students will receive all relevant information about course sequence in the subject history, especially during the first year of studies. You will gain insight into the cultural activities organized by history students (student’s association FHist) and the student-run magazine etü, and you will receive information about the Department of History’s premises and the University’s main building. There is a reception afterward where you can exchange experiences with new and senior students.
Information about the Master’s programmes of the Department of History are presented at the UZH MasterDays. Prospective students can get detailed information about the different major and minor programmes in history and talk to employees of the Department of History.
