The Eastern European Studies program enables students to conduct independent scientific work and provides knowledge in the areas of history, politics, literature, cultures and languages of Eastern Europe. Graduates are familiar with the complex particularities of the region, know about its specific historical developments and are aware of cultural and social differences. They are able to understand social and political discourses in Eastern Europe, to classify current and historical developments and to present them orally and in many different types of texts. They also have very good knowledge of at least one Eastern European language.
