At the 15 chairs and the externally funded professorships, research takes place in various contexts: in international collaborations, National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR), third-party funded projects supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) or in individual studies carried out by doctoral students, post-docs and professors.
